Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma’s poor health has been the talk of the town for quite some time now. The latest development is that Sony Entertainment channel, which hosts The Kapil Sharma Show, has decided to take a break from airing fresh episodes till Kapil recovers completely.
“Kapil has been under the weather for sometime now. Due to this, we have mutually agreed to take a short break. However, once Kapil has recovered completely, we will start shooting again. We value our relationship with Kapil and wish him a speedy recovery,” an official spokesperson from the channel told us.

There have been several recent reports of the star casts of various films, including Baadshaho, getting upset with Kapil for making them wait and then, eventually, cancelling the shoot due to his bad health.

My contribution to the tag was only 2 years and for the rest of 12 years, media stretched it. It's very amusing for me. I let it go off long time ago, now I don't even think about it. I think people need to be slightly more innovative, you don't have to be an actor with a tag. So, I think that's the way I see my career after this."

"I don't want to associate myself with particular label or genre because things in cinema change very rapidly. I think it's very important not to be a star but to be an actor who plays different characters. And that's only way you work in film industry. That's the way I see myself," he added.

Launch of navigation satellite IRNSS-1H unsuccessful

India's first private sector built satellite IRNSS-1H today failed after its launch from Sriharikota spaceport in Andhra Pradesh, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said.

The new satellite was meant to augment the existing 7 satellites of the NavIC constellation. The Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) is an independent regional navigation satellite system developed by India on par with US-based GPS.

ISRO chairman AS Kiran Kumar said the mission was however unsuccessful.

"Launch mission has not succeeded. Heat shield has not separated as a result of which satellite is inside the 4th stage. We are getting into the details of what has happened," he said.

The IRNSS-1H satellite was to have been slung into orbit at around 507 km above the earth.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had named 'NavIC' (Navigation with Indian Constellation) which offers services like terrestrial and marine navigation, disaster management, vehicle tracking and fleet management, navigation aide for hikers and travellers, visual and voice navigation for drivers.

Launched on board PSLV-C39, IRNSS-1H is a back-up navigation satellite for IRNSS-1A, one of the seven satellites in the constellation, as its three rubidium atomic clocks on board had stopped functioning.

The launch happened at 7 pm from the Second Launch Pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.

The movie is Amit Masurkar's second film after 'Sulemani Keeda' in 2014.

The film had its world premiere at Berlinale, won the Art Cinema award for the Forum section there and also went to 16th Annual Tribeca Film Festival.

The movie, also starring Anjali Patel, is set to hit the theatres on September 22.

Triple Divorce: End of the 1000-year-old triple divorce in India, Supreme Court gave independence.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday struck down instant triple talaq terming it “unconstitutional". The constitution bench, headed by the Chief Justice JS Khehar, delivered a spilt verdict (3:2) invalidating the practice as part of the Muslim Personal Law. The majority judgment came from three judges — Justice Rohinton Nariman, Justice Kurien Joseph and Justice UU Lalit. CJI JS Khehar and Justice S Abdul Nazeer wrote the minority judgment.

Chief Justice of India JS Khehar and Justice Abdul Nazeer, the two judges in the minority, were of the opinion that triple talaq was "sinful" but valid. Justice Khehar said that triple talaq does not violate Articles 14 (equality), 19 (free speech) and 21 (life and liberty) of the Constitution.

But the two judges still called for triple talaq to be banned until the Indian government brought a law in this regard within six months.
